Underpass beneath the Ricketty Street Bridge, overgrown with weeds

Ricketty Street Bridge / Canal Road, with Caterair site to the south and one industrial site to the north.

Status:
-Picturesque underpass of the bridge itself.
-Blocked at the northern end by development site.
-Ricketty Street Bridge itself is near impassable due to heavy traffic and narrow footpaths in poor repair.

Solutions:
-SSROC (Southern Sydney Region of Councils) draft Bike Plan apparently indicates that the poor state of the Ricketty Street Bridge is a high priority to fix. Space is limited and the bridge itself looks like it may have heritage constraings, so it might take innovative solutions.
- The industrial site on the northern side of the bridge is for sale, either for redevelopment or occupation. We understand this is within the City of Botany Bay Council area. We hope Botany's planners are alert to opportunities to convert this very short section to useable cycleway.
